White Riot

Australian Premiere | UK | Documentary/Music

Rubika Shah’s documentary feature film charts the London protest movement Rock Against Racism (RAR), formed in 1976 as an anti-racist and anti-fascist group in response to the racism of some of Britain’s most beloved rockers. The RAR campaign grew from grass roots to a huge concert, featuring The Clash.

White Riot blends fresh interviews with archive footage, still images, art work and of course an iconic 1970’s soundtrack. This highly engaging documentary feels truly relevant in 2020.
