Gold Coast Film Festival and Queensland Writers Centre (QWC), with the support of Screen Queensland, have teamed up in 2020 to present national author pitch competition, ADAPTABLE.
Adaptable is a national writers’ competition and pitching program aimed at bringing more Australian book adaptations to the screen. Open to writers across Australia and New Zealand, the contest accepts any genre, fiction or non-fiction, published or unpublished work.
25 successful authors will have the opportunity to pitch published or publication-ready novels, short stories, biographies and non-fiction works to producers, showrunners and screenwriters at one-on-one pitch meetings at Gold Coast Film Festival.
Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April – HOTA
Pitch sessions are accessible only by invite or selection, but panel sessions are open to all.
All events are at HOTA, unless indicated. Shuttle buses will operate between HOTA and QT Gold Coast and Movie World for events.
