Master Cheng

Queensland Premiere | Finland | Drama

A heart-warming drama about different cultures and culinary delights.

Following the death of his wife, professional chef Cheng arrives in a remote Finnish village with his young son to connect with an old friend. However, nobody in the village seems to know his friend.

Sirkka has been operating the only restaurant in the small village and serving the same bland menu to locals for numerous years. In return for accommodation, Cheng helps Sirkka in the kitchen, surprising the locals with the delights of Chinese cuisine. Gradually his cooking encourages these vastly different cultures to connect and Cheng is soon a celebrated member of the community.
