Hearts and Bones

Australia | Drama

Director Ben Lawrence delivers a thoughtful and timely drama about two men, a war photographer and a Sudanese refugee, who become unlikely friends.

Daniel (Hugo Weaving) is preparing an exhibition of his work from the world’s war zones. When Sebastian (acting newcomer Andrew Luri) learns that this exhibition may display photographs of a massacre in his village, he finds Daniel and appeals to him to exclude those photographs. When one of his photographs threatens to destroy Sebastian’s new life, the two men are reunited by the nightmare events from the past.

Hearts and Bones is a story about the bonds of family, friendship and fatherhood.

Join actor Hugo Weaving for a Q&A after the film on Tuesday 21 April.
