EMERGE! is a showcase of short films from some of Queensland’s most recent graduating film students. The event is designed to showcase the best and brightest film talent from Queensland’s next generation of filmmakers from film schools, universities and TAFE.

The Best Student Short Film Award with a $250 cash prize will be awarded on the night to the best film, as judged by Gold Coast Film Festival Program Director Rich Haridy and a Screen Queensland representative.

Ticket includes one Burleigh Brewing Co Beer.

Hollow Laughter – Erin Fraser-Currie, Griffith University
Caught – Corey Morgan, Griffith University
The Greens – Robyn Fairbairn, Bond Uninversity
Ember – Julian Cullen, Bond University
Arthur, Blessed – Dylan Ferenc Nyerges, Queensland University of Technology
Losing Grip – Thalia Brunner, Queensland University of Technology
Off-Target – William Carlson, New York Film Academy
Mick and Perl – Rita Monteith, TAFE Coomera
Dying with Dignity – Aaron Keeley, TAFE Coomera
Hunt – Belinda Nick, Queensland School of Film and Television


Friday 12 April, 5.30pm – Cinema 1, HOTA

Tickets $17 for adults, $15 for concession and include a complimentary Burleigh Brewing beer
