We are so thrilled to announce new prizes for Australian independent filmmakers as part of the 2018 Gold Coast Film Festival.
The Blackmagic Design Best Australian Independent Film Award will be awarded to the best film selected in the Gold Coast Film Festival’s Australian Indie Film strand. Established two years ago, the Australian Indie film strand identifies Australia’s best indie films – defined as not received screen agency production funding – and provides a platform for screening and promotion.
The winner of the Blackmagic Design Best Australian Independent Film Award will receive an incredible $10,000 worth of equipment and software from Blackmagic Design, including a URS Mini 4.6K EF Camera.
A new award for 2018 is the Best Australian Independent Film Peer Award. Judged by the alumni filmmakers of the Gold Coast Film Festival’s Australian Indie strand, we’re proud to announce a cash prize of $500 thanks to The Green Room app, plus a software package from Blackmagic Design.
