Celebrating its 21st year, Queensland’s biggest celebration of cinema is back. April 19 to 30, 2023, with the Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) at its Gold Coast home, HOTA – Home of the Arts.

The Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) showcases film and filmmaking, hosted in Queensland’s premiere filmmaking location, the Gold Coast. In 2023 the GCFF explores diverse stories and unique styles with an entertaining program of films and events that showcase the extraordinary Australian talent.

Our festival celebrates Australian and Queensland filmmakers, their films and their craft, providing education and industry programs for both filmmakers and students.

This year GCFF brings new films to the forefront, with a spotlight on emerging filmmakers and championing local talent while also focussing on the development of a strong Queensland film industry via networking, panel discussions and Q & A’s with leading filmmakers.

Join us in 2023 on the glitter strip as we present the best in Australian and international cinema to the local and international Gold Coast community.

The Gold Coast Film Festival is supported by the Queensland State Government through Screen Queensland’s Screen Culture Fund; and the Tourism and Events Queensland Regional Development Program and the City of Gold Coast.
