Deathgasm is a blood-soaked tribute to horror movies and heavy metal. This horror comedy is the directorial debut by Jason Lei Howden.
Jason is known for his creative work on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug and The Avengers.
Horror film fans have embraced Deathgasm, with rave reviews from screenings at South by Southwest in the USA, Fantaspoa Festival in Brazil and the Melbourne International Film Festival.
Inspiration for Deathgasm came from horror classics such as Return of the Living Dead, Night of the Demons and Monster Squad mixed in with Dungeons & Dragons.
The soundtrack for the film will also be a drawcard for fans of heavy metal and underground metal bands.
Jason Lei Howden will host a one night only Director Q & A session about Deathgasm with a screening of the film at TAFE Gold Coast’s Coomera Campus 198 Foxwell Road Coomera – Thursday November 19 from 8pm.
This is an 18+ event, with photo ID required for entry.
