Explore Asia On Film this November at HOTA with a selection of Asia Pacific Screen Awards nominated films curated by the Gold Coast Film Festival.

November 6, 19 & 29 – HOTA, Home of the Arts

We’ve teamed up with HOTA, Home of the Arts to curate an incredible lineup of films from the Asia Pacific region to screen across the month of November. 

Asia On Film will showcase films from Japan, South Korea, and China offering HOTA audiences the chance to see the best in Asian cinema right here on the Gold Coast. 

The program includes four films nominated for the 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) – Asia Pacific’s highest accolade in film, honouring cinematic excellence from across the Asia Pacific region: ASH IS PUREST WHITE, SHOPLIFTERS, BURNING and MIRAI. The final film, CODA documents the extraordinary life of legendary composer and head of the inaugural Music in Film International Jury for APSA, Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Tuesday 6 November:

Monday 19 November:
1.30pm – MIRAI
4.30pm – SHOPLIFTERS
7pm – BURNING

Thursday 29 November:
1pm – RYUICHI SAKAMOTO: CODA
4pm – BURNING
7pm – ASH IS PUREST WHITE
